The Vibes TCG World Championships Are Coming to SCGCON Richmond!

Mark your calendars, the 2026 Vibes TCG World Championships will take place in May 21–23, 2027 at SCGCON Richmond!

This is the event the whole competitive season has been building toward, where the best players in the world will sit down across the table to battle for the title of Vibes World Champion. We can't wait to see you there.

Why May?

Earlier this year, we shared that Worlds was planned for Q1. As we worked through the details, we determined that moving the event later would give our players ample time to make travel arrangements, whether that means booking flights, lining up hotel rooms, or applying for a visa.

We also felt strongly that SCGCON Richmond is the right home for this event. Holding Worlds alongside a full SCGCON weekend means more energy, more side events, and more of the community in one place, and we believe this date and location are the best fit for the game and for our players.

How Qualification Works

There are multiple ways to earn your invitation to Worlds:

• Zonal Championships: The top 8 finishers at each 2026 Zonal Championship qualify.

• Previous World Championship: The top 8 finishers from the previous World Championship qualify.

• Top placements at SCGCON 10k events: The top finisher not already qualified with earn an invite (applies to past and future SCGCON 10k events in 2026)

• Winner of the Tactics PH Vibes Cup Finale: The top finishers from the final Tactics PH Cup will qualify, with the invite passing down.

• Pro Points: The top 50 players in 2026 Pro Points qualify.

Pro Points are earned in our online competitive seasons and at our Zonal Championships. Only your top 3 finishes from Pro Point events count toward your total, so a few strong results can carry you. If a player in the top 50 has already qualified another way, their Pro Points invitation passes down to the next player in line.

What About Pro Points Earned in 2027?

Each World Championship is named after the season it caps off, not the year it takes place. Pro Points always count toward the Worlds that shares the year you earned them.

Because the 2026 Worlds moves to May, the 2027 season will already be underway before it happens. Any Pro Points you earn in early 2027, even before the 2026 Worlds, go toward the 2027 World Championship, not Richmond.

In short: your 2026 points get you to Richmond. Your 2027 points, starting January 1, count toward next season's Worlds.
