On June 13-14 at TOYCON Philippines, the Vibes Asian Championship brought together the best players in the region for a $20,000 prize pool and the honor of being the first champion of the Birb & Pengu era. When the dust settled, one player stood above the rest.
The Champion
bbqgaming entered the Top 8 as the #1 seed with a 8-1 record and never let up. Piloting Red Control through the entire bracket without dropping a match, bbqgaming swept through lowkey in the Quarterfinals, defeated Eton in the Semifinals, and closed out the Finals against Oxtraxex to claim the championship 2-0. A perfect run through Top 8 on the biggest stage Set 3 has seen.
