Vibes World Championship: The Pinnacle of Vibes Competitive Play

The moment the entire competitive season has been building toward is finally here. The Vibes World Championship will take place from January 23rd to 25th at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. This ultimate 3-day, livestreamed event is the final stop on the Vibes competitive circuit, bringing together the world's strongest players to compete for the ultimate title, the coveted trophy, and a substantial $40,000 prize pool with an additional $20K in other Vibes events during the weekend.

Whether you've been climbing the online zonal ladders or relentlessly chasing Pro Points, this is your chance to make history.

Event Details

The World Championship is a qualification and invite-only event, with exclusive rewards only available to qualified competitors. SCGCON Portland attendees are welcome to participate in side events or spectate.

The Worlds event spans three days, featuring an intense path to the World Championship Finals:

  • Friday, Jan 23rd:

    • Vibes $10K Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ)

      • Entry Fee: TBA

      • Format: Best-of-1, Swiss + 2 Rounds (35 minute rounds)

      • Top 8 Cut: Best-of-3, Single Elimination

        • The top 8 earn an invitation to the Vibes World Championship which is held the following day

      • LCQ Prizing Structure

        • 1st: $2,000, Worlds Invite

        • 2nd: $1,000, Worlds Invite

        • 3rd-4th: $700, Worlds Invite

        • 5th-8th: $500, Worlds Invite

        • 9th-16th: $250

        • 17th-32nd: $100

    • Vibes World Championship, Swiss

      • Format: Best-of-1, Swiss + 2 Rounds (35 minute rounds)

      • Top 8 placements move onto Worlds Top Cut

  • Sunday, Jan 25th:

      • Format: Best-of-3, Single Elimination

On-Site Experience & Preparation

Attendees, both competitors and fans, can expect a dynamic on-site experience:

  • The LCQ event will be held on Friday, Jan 23rd.

  • Side events will be held throughout the weekend that will appeal to new and veteran players alike.

  • Designated areas for community meetups, casual play, and teaching the game.

  • Exclusive merch available for purchase.

  • Scheduled signing sessions with Vibes Lead Art Director, Clare Altman.

Travel & Preparation

If you plan on attending in person, we strongly recommend you:

  • Plan to arrive early for the LCQ on Fri, Jan 23rd or for check-in on Sat, Jan 24th.

  • Thoroughly review the Vibes Comprehensive Ruleset.

  • Double-check your deck list and the condition of your card sleeves.

  • Practice timed Best-of-1 matches to acclimate to the Swiss environment.

  • Bring opaque, colored sleeves for your tournament deck. Clear or transparent outer sleeves are not allowed in any sanctioned Vibes TCG event.

  • Monitor official Vibes and Star City Games channels for announcements regarding venue maps, nearby hotels, and the final schedule.
